Our Classes
We offer six different types of classes at Serenity Hot Yoga Studio, located in Santa Clarita, CA. Each class has a different focus or style to enrich your yoga journey. Learn more about the classes we offer below.
Serenity Sequence
This 75-minute Hot Yoga Series is open to all levels and includes a warm-up with pranayama breathing, a standing and balancing series, core work, and a floor series using mainly the same postures each class with optional variations within the postures. Ending in savasana, you will have brought fresh oxygenated blood to your whole body and will enjoy the deep therapeutic benefits of our unique Serenity Sequence.
Hatha Yoga
The purpose of Hatha Yoga is the relief of three types of pain — physical, environmental, and spiritual. Focusing on poses that develop strength, flexibility, and bodily relaxation, this class is designed for beginners and advanced students as its focus is to provide a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to healthy alignment and therapeutic principles. Mindfulness and the observation of breath and body are an integral part of all classes.
Vinyasa Flow
A continuous flow of postures that are linked together through the breath. Classes instill flexibility, strength, endurance, and mindful breathing. Each class begins with a warm-up, moves into a flow, and ends with a cooldown followed by savasana. (Some classes may include core work, inversions, and arm balances).
Hot Yoga Sculpt
A yoga-inspired workout including bodyweight resistance and core interval training incorporating the optional use of hand weights, bands, and gliders to pump it up! This class will follow the same general structure each class so you learn to pace yourself, focusing on different muscle groups and types of mobility each week. All levels are welcome.
Restorative Yoga
A form of yoga that activates your parasympathetic nervous system, your “rest and digest” mode. Your instructor will guide you into a comfortable position using props like blankets, straps, and bolsters that allow gravity to do the work of opening tight spaces and releasing tension throughout the whole body.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It is slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you are holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, Yin Yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely used tissues, while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and go within.
